Examples of our workListed below are some of the projects that we have been asked to produce prototypes for. In all cases we were chosen to carry on and produce the final version of the software. Greenzone Facilities Management LimitedGreenzone are a facilities management company which provides waste disposal, recycling and other related services to companies across the entire UK. They needed an entire suite of bespoke applications to streamline the day-to-day running of the business, from handling and logging customer enquiries to managing supplier prices and generating invoices. New Software Ideas designed, wrote and implemented the software as well as providing staff training and ongoing support. The software proved to be a success; so much so that Greenzone is continuing to work with New Software Ideas on a number of related projects, including two web based portals for greenzone's customers and suppliers to use, as well as ongoing improvements and the adding of new features to their existing systems. McConnells Electrical Co. Ltd.
McConnells Electrical Company Limited carries out large scale electrical
and data network installations for the public and private sector across the
Food Systems Ltd.
Food Systems Ltd are a consultancy for the food industry. They had created a spreadsheet which they gave to their customers to monitor suppliers. This spreadsheet has become very popular but because it is a spreadsheet it can easily be copied and distributed.
Food Systems Ltd came to us to see if a product could be made that was as easy to use as the spreadsheet but have the security of activation and registration. We are currently developing the complete system as the prototype was easier to use than the spreadsheet and looked a lot friendlier.
Pneu-Therm Ltd.
Pneu-Therm Ltd. are a distributer of electrical heating elements, compressed air line fittings and other engineering components.
They needed a database system to catalogue custom manufactured components in order to check if a customised item has been made before, therefore removing the need to create new drawings and specifications from scratch. They realised that if they needed this product then other manufacturers would also be interested and so asked us to produce a prototype.
Within a week of using the prototype they instructed us to build the complete product which they have been using for over 18 months. They realised that the software gave them a great advantage over their competition and decided not to market it. Instead we are currently discussing new functionality that will make the product even more useful.
